Apologise for not updating this blog for quite some time. Inka and Irza went to their home country, Indonesia, during the school holiday period from end of November until end of December 2008. Other than Jakarta, they also visited Bandung, Garut (for a short holiday at a resort there) and Tasikmalaya (to celebrate Hari Raya Idul Adha with family and relatives there).
I have uploaded most of the pictures at my Multiply site, which can be found below:

On Chinese New Year's eve, I went to Chinatown with Irza to soak into the festive moods of Lunar New Year, and also to watch the fireworks display during the countdown to the new year of ox.
We parked our car at VivoCity and took the MRT train to Chinatown, to avoid (human) traffic jam around the area. After the fireworks display, we had ourselves some tiramisu cake and double chocolate coffee from Coffee Bean at Chinatown Point while waiting for the crowd to disperse, before we took the train back to Harbourfront.
I would like to wish everyone who celebrate Chinese New Year, a very happy new year of ox. Hope that everyone will have a very happy and prosperous new year ahead.

I read today’s TODAY newspaper and learned that the COE for cars above 1600cc has dropped to S$200 on yesterday’s open bidding exercise. Does this mean that now is a good time to buy a new car (or change to a new car) in Singapore?
Hmm… not really. Especially, considering that we are expecting a ‘sharpest, longest’ recession ever.

I’m reading here that Sony is considering exiting the Sony Ericsson joint venture with Ericsson, after the joint venture was posting a $247 million loss for 2008.
Hopefully future supports and services for Sony Ericsson phones, including my Xperia X1, will not be stopped.
